Discoveries led by Prof. Gokhan Hotamisligil at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health have revealed a fundamental mechanism underlying chronic diseases associated with aging and obesity. Importantly, proof-of-principle preclinical studies indicate that therapeutic targeting of these mechanisms is possible.

In multiple preclinical studies published in leading journals, research from the Hotamışlıgil Lab has shown promising therapeutic efficacy. Enlila, a subsidiary of İş Private Equity, was established to provide funding to the Hotamışlıgil Lab, supporting the advancement of the therapeutic approach developed in the lab and progress toward clinical applications. Funding from Enlila will facilitate the translation of scientific discoveries from the Hotamışlıgil Lab into practical solutions that address unmet medical needs.
